Yamazaki Mazak Singapore celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 20th. The Singapore manufacturing facility started production of compact CNC turning centers, machining centers and tool holders in 1992, which are exported to South Eastern Asia and all over the world.
By introducing IoT and automation technologies for higher productivity, the Mazak iSMART Factory™ has begun operation at Yamazaki Mazak Singapore. This is the third Mazak iSMART Factory, together with the one at Mazak Corporation in the United States and the one at Japan Headquarters / Oguchi plant, which started full operation this May. All are designed to realize the maximum productivity and efficiency by Utilizing the latest technology and manufacturing concepts. Additionally, the Additive Manufacturing solution center was recently opened in Singapore to provide new solutions with hybrid multi-tasking AM machines using the two machines on exhibit there.
The entire rooftop of the Singapore facility is covered with solar power generators that produce approximately 35% of the power requirements of the factory.
